Illustrator Anton Van Hertbruggen needed a picture book story for his graduation from art school, and I was impressed by his work, so I wrote a story him about a boy that has an imaginary dog which he loves - and then his parents give him a real dog. But the real one is quite different from the imaginary one. How can Nino choose between imagination and reality? And: does he have to choose?

• Anton Van Hertbruggen received many awards for this book, like the Belgian Boekenpauw 2014 , the Dutch Golden Palet 2014 and a Silver Medal (Best books of the year, by Society of Illustrators, USA).

• Together we recevied, aprt form the prizes below, also a Besten 7 August 2015 (Duitsland).

• The book got a starred Publisher's Weekly review.
